UK Treasury Under Attack As May Advances Brexit Plan

The UK Treasury is embattled. Unnamed Treasury officials disclosed the department is being ditched in its pursuit to retain accessibility to the Europe's single market once Britain embarks on the breakup with the European Union. They said Chancellor Philip Hammond is prohibited from partaking in certain gatherings. Hammond is clashing with his fellow ministers such as Brexit minister David Davis, who is a huge supporter of a more revolutionary EU exit. Over the weekend, local reports said there is a heightened collision between some government officials and the Treasury over immigration. Other reports implied Hammond may be prompted to leave his post due to conflicts. Officials implied Hammond may not be able to enlighten Prime Minister Theresa May, who is assuming a role as a mitigator between their more uncompromising concepts and business people who are worried regarding a hard Brexit.
